Our new milling methods have allowed us to produces a good all-around white that handles well and does not become brittle when dry. Exceptional covering power and ground in Special Aged Oil for fluent handling, this white is lead-free.

Transparent French Red Ochre ground in Special Aged linseeed oil. A useful flesh base when mixed with white, but unlike other ochres, this is transparent and has a far wider range of uses.

An important flesh tone for natural blush colors in cheeks and lips. Ground in our own Special Aged Oil for unrivaled handling.

Actually, a medium-to-dark blue with exceptional vibrancy. This is the Fra Angelico blue. Rich without heaviness, as so many blues can be. Not adulterated with Pthalo blue, this is the real ultra blue light.

Imported from Germany, this pigment is historically identical with the one to which Van Dyck gave his name. Modern processing methods have made it considerably more lightfast and permanent.

The same verdaccio paints as in the kit. Sold as individual Values.

The kit consists of eight degrees of verdaccio, ranging from a near black to a pale, almost white, green tint. By adding black and white at either end, you have a complete Munsell scale. These are generously sized tubes. They are also sold individually as replacements.

Yellow Ochre ground in our own Special Aged linseed oil. Made with an exceptionally clear pigment that is not gritty, but produces a creamy soft texture that responds to the brush unlike paints ground in common oils.

The ideal mixing white. Allows for the most intense mixtures. Ground in Special Aged Oil. An important white on the palette because it does not overpower colors in mixtures nor make them chalky.
